California's Economy

California has a very diverse economy. Several years ago when I commuted to San Diego on the Coaster train, I often met visitors to our state from all across the country. They were amazed at the beauty and wealth of our great state. I proudly bragged to them how California's economy has always been a leader in innovation, productivity, and wealth creation. California is blessed with abundant natural resources and a diverse and well educated work force. This state has the hardest working people in the world. That is why our economy has so much potential.
Unfortunately, since 2007 the leaders that we have elected to the Pelosi Congress have abandoned free market capitalism for a dangerous and disastrous experiment in socialism. Now we have a President who wants to redistribute our wealth and fundamentally change our country. I will not let that happen. We must stay committed to the free market policies that made us the world's economic superpower. Under my leadership California will lead our nation back to prosperity.
It is time that we all stand up to the duplicity and deceptions of the Democrats in Washington and Sacramento who offer us nothing but tax increases, have no solutions, and blame everything on former President Bush. It was the Pelosi Congress that caused our real estate crisis, our water crisis, our banking crisis, and our energy crisis. Barack Obama did not inherit this from President Bush. He was in the Senate during 2007 and 2008 and it was controlled by his party not Republicans. He is as much at fault for the problems in our economy as anyone. His party constantly tries to wipe out profitable businesses and reduce supplies of basic necessities like water, fuel, and electricity. Enough is enough!
As I traveled across this state last year it became very clear that the people of this great state know exactly what is wrong with our state and our country. We are taxed too much, the government borrows too much, and our political leaders have an arrogant disrespect for We the people. It is not just Republicans who feel this way. Democrats, Independents, Libertarians and everyone who attends Tea Parties in the country knows what is wrong and how we got here. It is time to remove the arrogant politicians from power.
My campaign will provide leadership and free market solutions that will make our state great again. I will turn back the clock on this horrendous left wing experiment and restore common sense to our government.
Our economic difficulties are directly related to the misguided leadership of Speaker Pelosi and her Party which has been in the majority since the stock market peaked at 14,000 in 2007. When she took over the purse strings of our nation the economy was strong and deficits were shrinking. Since becoming Speaker she created the largest deficits and highest taxes in the history of our country. Her party makes claims that profit is bad. This is nonsense. Profitable companies are good. They provide jobs, benefits, and wealth to our citizens. We must not be complacent anymore and we must hold politicians accountable if they try to intentionally eliminate profitable businesses.
If you want to bring prosperity and economic growth back to our state, if you want to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, if you want an education system that is number one again, and if you want to bring value back to our real estate, then vote for me in the Republican Primary on June 8, 2010. Together we will rebuild our free markets and bring wealth back to our people.
